Heads up, Colombians: SENA has opened 87,000 places to study for free

The SENA has opened a call to study for free. Enrollment will be open until August 26 and there are still plenty of places left. We tell you how you can register and which are the programs with academic offer.

“Senace para aprender” is the new initiative of the National Learning Service (SENA), with which it enabled more than 87,000 places to study for free in the country hundreds of quality programs.

The institution, which is recognized for providing courses, technical careers and technologies that everyone can access, suchs as Microsoft AZ-305 Practice Test Dumps, announced that enrollment will be open until August 26, 2023. Citizens will be able to choose between daytime, evening, early morning and mixed daytime, so that everyone can access the right to education easily and without giving up work.

The institution will provide support and counseling so that students who wish to study for free can get to know the labor and technological training programs, either in classroom or distance mode.

Academic programs of SENA’s academic offer to study for free

SENA enabled 339 options of academic programs so that you can choose the one you like the most. These are some of the options:

  • Study for free digital printing, with a duration of 2208 hours.
  • Surface finishes for jewelry, with a duration of 40 hours.
  • Physical Activity, with a duration of 3984 hours.
  • Preparation of analysis and testing laboratories for industry, with a duration of 2208 hours.
  • Software analysis and development, with a duration of 3984 hours.
  • 3D Animation, with a duration of 3984 hours.
  • Digital animation, with a duration of 3984 hours.
  • Administrative support in health, with a duration of 2640 hours.
  • Administrative assistance, with a duration of 2208 hours.
  • Industrial metrological assurance, with a duration of 3984 hours.
  • Aesthetic care of hands and feet, with a duration of 1296 hours.
  • Creative development of products for industry, with a duration of 3984 hours.
  • Development of communication skills in sign language, with a duration of 40 hours.
  • Data network management, with a duration of 3984 hours.
  • Basic English level I and II, with a duration of 48 hours each.

How can I enroll in SENA programs to study for free?

When you have reviewed the programs and have decided on the one you would like to study, you must click on the name of the program. You will see a notice to the right of the name, which will tell you what the requirements are, the training center, the day and the day your studies begin. In addition, a registration button will appear next to it.

When you click on it, the platform will ask for your ID number and will tell you the steps to follow to upload your documents in a PDF and your personal data.

Candidates who are selected will be notified in two moments: on August 30 for those whose ID numbers end in 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4. Those with ID numbers ending in 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 will be notified on August 31.

In order to participate in the opportunity to study for free, applicants will have to take academic tests that will evaluate their skills and knowledge.

The schedule of tests will be carried out in two phases: on September 1, those whose identity documents end in numbers 0 to 4 will be processed, while on September 4, those whose documents end in numbers 5 to 9 will be processed.

Applicants are reminded that September 1 and 4 will be the only dates to file complaints or claims related to the call for applications.


Once the testing stage has been passed, those selected will advance to Phase II of the selection process.

From September 11 to 12, applicants will be able to consult the summons for the second test. Subsequently, from September 13 to 19, they will have the opportunity to take the controlled web test and/or workshop, which will constitute a fundamental part of their evaluation.

The list of selected candidates will be published on September 20. It should be noted that any complaints regarding the scores obtained in this phase must be submitted no later than one day after the publication of the results, since after this period the scores will be final and no appeals will be considered.

Once the above phases have been completed, successful applicants may proceed with the registration process. From September 20 to 29, the registration process will take place and the delivery and verification of documents will be carried out.

It is important to follow this process carefully and punctually to ensure a successful admission to the program.
