IKEA, the Swedish company that announced months ago its arrival in Colombia, will have a showroom at the Home Fair 2023. Here are all the details.

IKEA, the Swedish furniture and decoration company, announced that it will have a showroom at the Home Fair 2023, to be held at the Corferias fairgrounds from September 7 to 24, in the city of Bogota.

Visitors to the Home Fair 2023, which this year celebrates its 40th edition, will be able to get a first glimpse of the European brand, which has more than 400 stores in 62 markets around the world, and which this year celebrates its 80th anniversary.

Showroom: sample of what IKEA will sell in Colombia

In the showroom of the Home Fair 2023, located in Pavilion 23, will be exhibited some of the products that IKEA will bring to the country. These products include bedrooms, workspaces, social areas and decorative objects.

“Our goal is not only to present an exhibition of products, but to provide an experience that celebrates creativity and personalization in the home. We want Colombians to visit us so they can be inspired to build the homes that will drive them to fulfill their dreams”, said Hasbleidy Castañeda, Manager of IKEA Colombia.

However, the products exhibited in the showroom of the Home Fair 2023 can only be purchased once the store has opened its doors, for which visitors will not have to wait long.

As announced, IKEA will open its first store in Colombia before the end of the year, offering its products for the holiday season. The store will have more than 26 thousand square meters and will be located in the Mall Plaza shopping center, located in Bogota, on NQS Avenue and 19th Street, next to the Plaza de Paloquemao.

Subsequently, IKEA plans to open a store in Medellín and another in Cali. With this, the multinational company would generate around 1,300 direct jobs in Colombia, Castañeda said.

Home Fair 2023

This year, the 2023 Home Fair will open its doors between 10 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. On Thursday, September 7, the hours will be more limited, from 12:00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.

With 35 pavilions, more than 800 exhibitors and 254 entrepreneurs, manufacturers, producers, distributors and marketers will have the opportunity to make themselves known at the Home Fair 2023.

This event promises to cover a wide range of categories ranging from furniture, mattresses, household appliances, decoration, home fashion, to gastronomy.

Indeed, this fair offers companies the opportunity to showcase their products, designs and innovations. Visitors, for their part, will be able to find everything they need for their homes at competitive prices.

Home Fair 2023: Fees

As for ticketing, admission to the Home Fair 2023 will cost 14,000 pesos, and will be free for children under 12 years old.

Until today, August 31, those who wish to take advantage of a 10% discount on their ticket will be able to do so, paying $12,600 pesos. Starting tomorrow, September 1, the entrance ticket to the Home Fair will cost 14,000 pesos per person.

Please note that according to the information provided through the official website of Corferias, in this edition of the Home Fair 2023, seniors will not have a special discount.
