Runt 2.0: get to know the new transit platform for faster and safer procedures
Since May 23, Runt 2.0, the new web platform that seeks to facilitate transit and transportation procedures in the country, a tool of the Single National Transportation Registry (RUNT), has been in operation.
The platform is the result of the RUNT 2.0 S.A.S. concession, under concession contract 604 of 2022 signed with the Ministry of Transportation. The objective of the new platform is to “Administer, operate, maintain and commercially exploit the Single National Traffic Registry and manage the information registered therein”, according to the RUNT website.

Runt 2.0 provides solutions that are more integrated, adaptable and closer to citizens and stakeholders in the sector, making transit and transportation procedures safer, more efficient, faster and friendlier.
According to the Colombian Civil Aeronautics, 22 companies participated in the awarding process.
The result was the award of the Single National Traffic Registry to Promesa de Sociedad Futura Concesión RUNT 2.0, formed by the companies Grow Data, SKG Tecnología and Concesión RUNT, on March 24, 2022.

- Driver history
- Directory of actors

In addition, citizens will be able to continue accessing services that were already available prior to the launch of this new platform. These include citizen queries to obtain data on owners and vehicles, as well as other relevant information for citizens, transportation companies, entities such as transit agencies, territorial directorates, the Ministry of Transportation and other actors involved in the sector.
The Vice Minister of Transportation, Eduardo Enriquez Caicedo, said, “it is important to highlight that citizens will have no changes in the way they carry out their procedures before the Transit Agencies, Transit Support Agencies (Automotive Diagnostic Centers, Driver Recognition Centers and Automotive Education Centers) and other entities that interact with the Runt platform”.
And he assured that these entities will continue to provide the sector’s services as it has been operating, said Vice Minister Enriquez Caicedo.
With this transformation of the consultation platform, users can now find all the information in the domain www.runt.gov.co, which replaced the previous www.runt.com.co that is still in operation.
With the new website, all users will be able to carry out the usual procedures in a more agile way without having to travel to a physical service center. Likewise, people and institutions will have more service channels such as Whatsapp and Chatbot, tools that are added to the telephone service seven days a week and 24 hours a day.
Thanks to this digital transformation, response times for procedures in the Runt will be significantly reduced compared to those previously required. In addition, users will receive answers to their queries in real time and via the Internet, which considerably speeds up both procedures and queries.
