Problems of access to education in Colombia

The low access to education in Colombia is attributed to various factors, such as the scarcity of adequate infrastructure, the lack of government investment in educational programs and the persistent presence of armed conflicts in some regions of the country.

This is what is known as the lack of educational opportunities, which manifests itself to a greater extent in rural and low-income areas, perpetuating inequality and limiting the country’s development potential.

In addition to perpetuating inequality, these conditions hinder access to quality education, keeping many young people away from the possibility of aspiring to an academic education that will allow them to progress in society.

The lack of state resources for education and the expansion of educational opportunities also has a significant impact on the adult population, which will have to compete in the labor market in a demanding competition in which low salaries and precarious working conditions prevail.
