Partial scholarships and university discounts

Upon achieving an outstanding performance in the Saber 11 Icfes tests, students have the possibility to apply for scholarships and financial aid for their support, taking into account their socioeconomic situation.

This type of support is provided by various high quality academic institutions in Colombia.

Among the universities that grant this type of benefits are Universidad EAFIT, Universidad de los Andes, Universidad de Medellín and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, among others.

These universities recognize and reward outstanding academic performance by providing financial facilities to those students who have demonstrated significant potential in their results on the Saber 11 Icfes tests.

How to interpret the results of the Saber 11 Icfes tests?

Once the results are published, students will be able to check their overall score using their ID number through the official portal. This score ranges from 0 to 500, so a result that exceeds half, i.e. 250, is considered positive.

The student will be able to see the score obtained in each of the areas. The maximum score in each evaluation criterion depends on the length of the section and the complexity of the questions.

The results of the English test, however, are not subject to a numerical score only, but are based on the Common European Framework for Language Assessment.

This means that in this section students may be graded A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 or C2. The first grade indicates that the student has the most basic level, while the last grade indicates that the student has a native level of fluency.
