The latter hosted close to 173,000 people<\/a> in 2023 and is one of the largest music events held in the country.<\/p>\n\n The acquisition of Paramo Presenta was carried out through Ocesa<\/strong>, one of the largest promoters of live events in Latin America, of which Live Nation has been a majority<\/strong> shareholder since 2012.<\/p>\n\n Although the value of the transaction has been kept under wraps, the partnership is expected to further boost Live Nation Entertainment’s presence in Latin America.<\/p>\n\n P\u00e1ramo Presenta is known for being one of the leading concert promoters in our country and has been a relevant player in the Colombian entertainment industry for many years. Add to this the challenges faced by the entertainment industry in Colombia in the year of the pandemic and the lags it left behind.<\/p>\n\n Live Nation, based in the United States, is recognized as the world\u2019s largest promoter of concerts and live events. In 2022, the company\u2019s revenues<\/a> amounted to USD $16.68 billion.<\/p>\n\n In addition, the company has experienced significant growth in recent years, driven by its focus on diversification and global expansion. In 2010 Live Nation and Ticketmaster merged to form Live Nation Entertainment.<\/p>\n\n In Latin America, the company began its expansion process since 2018, when it became the majority shareholder of the Brazilian Rock in Rio<\/em> festival.
