And well, here we are. Allen wrote a <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Medium<\/a> piece that shocked social media on April 8, 2023. The article\u2019s headline, which included embellished data and phony quotes, announced Disney\u2019s transfer to Georgia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite having a \u201cParody\u201d tag at the conclusion, the tale caught viral like wildfire. Social media was used by users to voice their opinions, with some ecstatic about Disney\u2019s potential expansion into Georgia and others lamenting its departure from Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@matt.ryanallen\/disney-world-leaves-florida-for-georgia-859df0213cba\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">article<\/a> you could find a quote from a Disney \u201cspokesperson\u201d claiming:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to be bringing the magic of Disney to Atlanta, [&#8230;] We believe this move will allow us to better serve our fans in the Southeast and create a new, exciting experience for visitors from all over the world\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Social media exploded with some users even claiming the reason behind the relocation could even be disagreements between Disney and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis over COVID-19 policies. This came as a result of a highly publicized spat that is thought to be the origin of it all.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Governor DeSantis was incensed by Disney\u2019s COVID-19 policy, which included mandatory mask use and vaccination restrictions. The governor responded by criticizing Disney for what he saw as its policies\u2019 hypocrisy. Although highly popular, this incident did not really have any further implications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The truth is Disney World continues to be in Florida and there are no real indications the iconic park will be moving elsewhere. The transfer would result in significant both practical and legal difficulties. Zoning regulations, building permits, and a number of other challenging legal and administrative obstacles would have to be cleared by Disney before even attempting to transfer its magical attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Disney World is without a doubt an insanely massive tourist destination that brings in billions of dollars annually, so we can all agree it is quite unlikely that the business would ever consider such a move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still wondering, is Disney World moving out? Well, the transfer story was nothing more than a brilliant spoof.
