In the words of Germ\u00e1n Bahamon Jaramillo, manager of the National Federation of Coffee Growers, this is the largest harvest of 2024 and with which it is expected to exceed the annual production goal.<\/p>\n\n<p>Through his social networks, Jaramillo announced a new stage for Colombian coffee growers. This new harvest is an opportunity for Colombian producers, as coffee is experiencing a period of bonanza driven by the increase in its sales price. According to figures of the National Federation of Coffee Growers, in the last few days a production of 12.7 million bags of coffee was reported, a figure that leaves coffee growers very close to reaching the goal for the year.<\/p>\n\n<p>With a production of this caliber, coffee cultivation in Colombia is on the right track, since only 300,000 bags of coffee remain to meet the objective set by the FNC for 2024. <\/p>\n\n<p>According to the Federation, the figures reported last September 25 show that coffee production is at its best moment, since figures that have not been registered since 2022 were reported. For years, the Colombian product has stood out for its unmatched quality and flavor and has become the favorite of many international consumers. According to Baham\u00f3n, coffee is generating income of $11 billion in the rural areas of the 603 coffee growing municipalities of the country.<\/p>\n\n<p>Baham\u00f3n also pointed out that Colombian coffee is exploring new international markets. Of course, this deployment in the international market implies hard work on the part of Colombian coffee growers, who face several challenges when expanding their market.<\/p>\n\n<p>One of the biggest challenges for Colombian producers is precisely to comply with European Union regulations. The so-called Green Pact or Eudr, requires that by 2025 the countries of origin of the product must comply with several sustainability practices, including deforestation issues.
