2024 Export Almanac: Opportunities for Colombian Exporters

The National Association of Foreign Trade (Analdex) published the special dates for Colombian exporters and which will be the best days of the 2024 export almanac.

From the United States to China, Colombian exporters have a 2024 export almanac full of opportunities to position their products internationally.

Various global and local celebrations present themselves as ideal platforms for value-added goods from Colombia.

Javier Díaz, president of Analdex, highlighted the importance of coordination between the public and private sectors to take advantage of these opportunities to boost foreign sales with a strategic approach and a diversified offer.

Thus, Colombian exporters can consolidate their presence in international markets throughout the year 2024, said Diaz.

January 2024 | Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day: Hass avocado and women’s underwear made in Colombia

The 2024 export almanac begins with the export of Hass avocados to the United States in January to meet the demand generated by the Super Bowl.

Although Mexico and Peru have a strong presence, according to Analdex, Colombia has gained ground with its supply.


In February, the celebration of Valentine’s Day becomes a key opportunity to export flowers and high quality women’s underwear and consolidate Colombia’s position in the U.S. market.

March 2024 | White Day in Japan: cocoa and cocoa products

The 2024 export almanac continues in March with White Day in Japan. This celebration presents an opportunity for exports of cocoa and its derivatives made in Colombia.

The country’s renowned fine aroma cocoa could be highlighted in this event, expanding its presence in international markets.

March 2024 : Easter and International Women’s Day: Aquaculture products and manufactured goods

During the second quarter of the 2024 export almanac are the Easter celebrations in Latin America, which provide opportunities for the marketing of aquaculture products, especially tilapia.
