As one of the major commitments to sustainability, the ANDI Bolivar Sectional Alliance and TRASO Social Transformation Collective have been working for more than 20 years to advance an important management that has allowed connecting companies with the reality of the context, building relationships of trust with the different stakeholders and outlining routes of action in accordance with the needs of Cartagena and Bolivar.

Thus, through the “Closer” strategy, the ANDI – TRASO Alliance promotes social dialogue with community leaders in the neighborhoods located in the Mamonal Industrial Zone, where many of the affiliated companies are located, to exchange knowledge between business and community initiatives, while building a collaborative work agenda on issues such as education, public space and community infrastructure, with the understanding that the community is not only the inhabitants of a territory, but also the companies that operate there every day.

Likewise, thanks to this alliance that facilitates a common place for the companies that are part of ANDI Seccional Bolívar and Colectivo TRASO, important contributions have been channeled to mobilize voluntary social investment.

In 2022 alone, through the TRASO Collective, the companies mobilized more than 12 billion resources in social projects and programs, and managed initiatives that seek impact and incidence. Two examples are the Public Leadership School, from which 106 participants have graduated, or the delivery of more than 22 thousand hot food rations in just one week, during the rain emergency in Cartagena.

This social investment also has a strong emphasis on education to close social gaps. Thus, with resources coming entirely from companies and private partners, the first Center of Excellence for early childhood was launched in the community of Pasacaballos, which will receive 200 children from this sector of Cartagena; or programs such as Boomerang Scholarships with which more than 300 young people have found an opportunity to access higher education and have achieved job placement. These are some of the actions that materialize the companies’ vocation to generate impact and social value.

This alliance promotes sustainability as a transversal axis, which is why ANDI Bolivar Sectional and Colectivo TRASO organized the first international route, with the participation of affiliated companies, to the city of Barcelona (Spain) to learn about innovative models and initiatives that link sustainability as a center for action, promoting more humane territories and companies.

There are many actions that we can see today in Cartagena and Bolivar, through which companies are demonstrating their commitment to make Colombia a better country, with opportunities for all. It is here where the ANDI-TRASO Alliance becomes a powerful platform to connect the company with the communities in this common purpose.
