The recipe for disaster: a brief guide to understanding anxiety

Do you want to know what anxiety feels like? This column by Marta Isabel González explains it and even makes you feel it.

Ingredients:


  • 1 human being
  • 235 lt of anxiety
  • 2.5 tons of powdered uncertainty
  • 1 pinch of frustration

Preparation:

Pour the 235 lt of anxiety into a container and put the human being to marinate for several years, so that the human being becomes more anxiety than person, and does not communicate to you that the ingredient used to marinate is anxiety. The human should soak until he claims to feel a pressure in his chest, or something moving through his body that he does not know what it is.

Keep therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists away because it is possible that the soaking time will be wasted.

Once the human has absorbed the 235 lt of anxiety through every pore of his stressed body, carefully sprinkle the 2.5 tn of powdered uncertainty, making sure that the human is completely covered and manifesting that he cannot breathe.

Put the preparation in a preheated oven at 1,250°C (preferably the oven should not be powered by electricity or gas but by “humane” energy and generate accusing glances from strangers). Place a recording of laughter near the oven so that the cooking human feels that he/she is being made fun of and wait 23 years.


Finally, take out the roasted human and add a dash of frustration. The human will come out in flying atoms and you can proceed to serve him/her.
